It is worth mentioning that the participating nations have until October 12th to confirm the exact team lists with all names; the player lists might change until that date.
Today we introduce the Czech teams.
The Czech Republic is using its strongest players, as the five team members of the open team are all in the top 6 highest-rated players of the country! GM David Navara (2728), the highest rated player, is leading the open team. Navara needs no introduction, as he is a world-renowned Grand master. He has won the Czech Chess Championship at least six times and has played twice in the World Chess Cup, many Olympiads and super-tournaments, such as Wijk aan Zee.
The woman team is as well heavily bolstered with the country’s strongest female players, as all the players are members of the top 10 highest-rated in the country. The team is led by WIM Kristýna Havlíková (2335) who has accumulated a great deal of experience playing for her country, despite her young age. Kristýna has played in three Chess Olympiads (2010-2014) and two previous European team Championships (2011-2013).
