It is worth mentioning that the participating nations have until October 12th to confirm the exact team lists with all names; the player lists might change until that date.
Today we introduce the Romanian teams.
Romania is using many of it’s best talents in the Championship, with a team bolstered with youth, experience and talent. GM Constantin Lupulescu (2626), Romania’s highest rated player is leading the open team. He has won the Romanian Chess Championship several times, played in two Olympiads and has been successful in the European Individual Chess Championship. They line-up experienced Grand masters on boards 2.-4. and include the 14-year-old talent, IM Bogndan-Daniel Deac on the 5th.
The women’s team is led by IM Cristina Adela Foisor (2361), Romania’s current Women’s Champion, a tournament she has won several times as well as competing in the World Championship several times.
